CHILDREN & FAMILIES
Sunday, October 12, at 9:45 am

Spark Rotation begins a new cycle on Sunday called Four Friends. The focus over the next few weeks is based on the story of Jesus healing a paralyzed man (Luke 5: 17-26). Our children will experience this miracle through the use of Creative Drama, Science and Video. Workshop leaders include: Jackie Chuter, Joe Cain, Allen Jensen, Teresa Tice-Boggs and Jimmy Wright. Betsy Appleton and Ruth Gray will provide our snacks.

We have several ways for our children to be active worship leaders. Ringing the church bell as a call to service, cross bearer, book bearer, lector, usher, acolyte, and Holy Communion assistant. Talk with Jimmy Wright for any of these opportunities.

A very special thank you to Renee Carlson, Jackie Chuter, LaRu Woody and Katherine Ortiz for their leadership the past two-weeks. We experienced The Disciples through FishPrints, Music with Paintand Computerworkshops.

WHOLE LIFE STEWARDSHIP
Sunday, October 19 is Commitment Sunday

This is the Sunday when we joyful respond to God’s blessings in our lives and
make our financial pledges for the coming year. Leading up to (and beyond)
October 19, we are challenging ourselves to explore our Whole Life Stewardship,
the ways in which we are stewards not only of our finances, but also of our
time, our abilities, and of God’s many other gifts. We invite you to begin to
prayerfully consider your financial pledge for the coming year. We are blessed
with a generous God whose love for us knows no bounds. While it is not always
easy to do, we trust that God will always provide us with what we need. We hope
to see you in church on October 19 (8:30 am or 11 am)!
