Advent Contemplative Evening Prayer
Watching. Waiting. Wondering.
Advent starts a little early, as we gather for prayer, song, scripture, and
silence. Join us on these Wednesdays: November 19; December 3, 10 and 17.
November 23. Hope you can be here for our 2nd round of “The Gospel
According to the Walking Dead”. 9:45 am on the stage. We’ll pick up with
episode 2 from season 5. Who wants to lead this session? Dawn Wetzel can
lead, but it would be nice to have one of our youth lead it. Let me know
… Jimmy (440) 985-8981.
November 30. Travis Gould will be leading at 9:45 am. We’ll continue our
series on “Gospel According to the Walking Dead”. Be sure to have watched
season 5 episode 3 prior to our session.
CHILDREN and FAMILY NEWS
During the 11 am service each Sunday in Advent, Mr. Jimmy will lead the
children into the library for the children’s sermon time. We’ll be
presenting a series of Godly Play Advent stories and will return to the
nave during the Gospel Acclamation. Parents and any others wanting to
experience Godly Play are encouraged to join us.
November 23. Hope to see ya’ll for our first family drive-in style movie.
We’ll have a showing of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” at 6 pm in the
church parking lot. Bring a folding chair from home and a blanket to keep
warm. We’ll be selling candy and other movie style treats (benefiting our
youth fund). This is open the entire FELC family/community. And bring a
friend or two!
November 30. Hello Advent. We won’t be holding formation classes for the
kids, but all children (young, old, or somewhere in-between) are welcome to
meet Mr. Jimmy in the fellowship hall for games, jokes, and snacks. 9:45 am.
