Advent Contemplative Evening Prayer
Watching. Waiting. Wondering.
6:45 pm

Advent starts a little early, as we gather for prayer, song, scripture, and
silence. Join us on these Wednesdays: November 12 and 19; December 3, 10 and 17.

Wednesday, November 12, 6-8 pm, we’ll bring cookies, milk and books to the
Salvation Army Shelter in downtown Austin. We’ll read stories and play
games with the children staying there. You need to RSVP for this one by
calling or texting Jimmy Wright (440) 985-8981.

Sunday, November 16, 9:45 am, we begin our series on “The Gospel According to the Walking Dead.” Be sure to watch season 5, episodes 1 and 2 prior to our meeting. http://www.amctv.com/shows/the-walking-dead/episodes/season-5/no-sanctuary

This Sunday, Spark Rotation continues with the story of the Good Samaritan.
Children will explore this story through the use of a creative science
experiment. We begin as usual at 9:45 am in the library.

You don’t want to miss our first drive-in style movie on Sunday, November
23 from 6-8 pm. Weather permitting, we’ll brave the great outdoor parking
lot at FELC for a showing of the classic holiday favorite, “How the Grinch
Stole Christmas.” If poor weather, we’ll move into the parlor. Bring
outdoor chairs, blankets, and anything to keep you cozy and warm. Hot
drinks and movie style snacks will be for sale in our concession
stand–proceeds to benefit our youth fund.
