As part of our 75th Anniversary, First English Lutheran Church held its first juried art exhibit in 2012
Below is the call for entries we posted.
CALL for ENTRIES: “A Journey of Faith”
WHAT: A juried exhibition of 2D works that address the exhibition theme “A Journey of Faith”.
WHEN: Entries due by November 1, 2011
Exhibition opens February 12, 2012 and closes April 29, 2012
WHERE: First English Lutheran Church
AWARDS: The jury will award
$300 for “Best of Show”
$100 for “First Place”
$75 for “Second Place”
$50 for “Third Place”
SALES: First English Lutheran Church (FELC) will make the exhibiting artists’ contact information available to patrons but will not engage in sales or negotiations.
ENTRY FEES: An artist may enter up to two works by submitting an entry form, digital image of the work(s), and the entry fee ($10 for 1 work, $15 for 2) to First English Lutheran Church by November 1, 2011. Fees may be submitted in person or by mail to the Church. Forms and digital images may be emailed to: email@example.com
ENTRY RULES: Open to all Central Texas artists ages 18 or older; 2D works framed, ready to hang, and weighing no more than 30 lbs.; all works, including non-denominational and non-sectarian, that address the exhibition theme of “A Journey of Faith” will be considered. All entry forms, fees, and digital images must be received by November 1, 2011 to be considered in adjudication. Artists will be notified by December 1, 2011 of the Juror’s selections. All works selected for the exhibition are to be hand-delivered on Saturday, January 28, 2012. Works exhibited must be collected on Saturday May 5, 2012. First English Lutheran Church will not accept shipped works. First English Lutheran Church reserves the right to publish digital images of exhibited works in FELC documents and on FELC websites through February 12, 2013. Insurance will not be provided on work exhibited. Every reasonable precaution will be taken in the handling, exhibition, and security of the works. Artists may want to obtain their own insurance coverage.
