Beginning August 22, 2013
Led by Rev. Michael Coffey
Meeting in the FELC Fellowship Hall
Men of all ages, faiths, and backgrounds are invited to participate in this six week series of meetings exploring male archetypes and their importance for developing a mature masculinity. Through presentations, conversation, and ritual action, the group will explore their own spiritual and psychological lives as men, using the book by Robert Moore and Douglas Gillette.
“In our culture that creates and nurtures immaturity, and does little to help initiate young men into the fullness of life as a man, men today need to pursue their own calling to maturity with seriousness and intentionality. Maturity does not come easily, and it is hard work to go from boyhood to manhood. But men have always felt called to this hard work, and know they need other men to guide, mentor, and share the journey of living mature masculinity for themselves, their people, and the world.”
